Never having played a musical instrument, I began the practice chanter when I was 55, and have never looked back. My first teacher was 'a good piper', but unfortunately he was not a good teacher, and I learned incorrectly. I was rescued, however, by an open-grade piper who became a close friend. I attended Jack Lee's Piping Hot Summer Drummer in British Columbia for 14 years, learning from the very best of the famous SFU pipe band.
I joined Dojo University at its inception, and have been a devoted member ever since. As a retiree, I enjoy learning and the sense of continued improvement.
