I’m a 2011 founding member of the Louisville Police Pipes and drums, Louisville KY. My bagpiping journey began with lessons in 2005. I have had private lessons over the years, and credit my fundamental training to the Louisville Pipe Band.
I attended the 2020 DOJO cruise, and that was the beginning of COVID. I retired in 2021 from my position as a pilot at UPS after 31 years. I’m now a part time pilot flying passengers in a small corporate jet two days a week, here in Louisville KY.
My goal is to jumpstart my piping! I hope to improve my “beat and rhythm.” I hope to revisit my finger work fundamentals.
In 1982, during my college years, I had the opportunity to travel to Alaska. On the way, I visited Victoria BC. I was impressed with a bagpiper playing “Scotland The Brave” as our tour boat entered the harbor.
I’m excited to revisit Alaska on the DOJO cruise in May 2024. In preparation for the cruise, will be active with the DOJO online group.
Next summer, I hope to again begin competing Grade 5 and see where that takes me.
I look forward to meeting everyone in the group!
