I have been singing in choir since my childhood , and today i sing in 3 choirs.
I have learnt to play new instruments all my life : blues harp, flute, guitar, 5 strings banjo , tenor saxophone, and 16 p bagpipe. i do like to watch, listen, understand the deep mecanisms, and make...and repair. i enjoyed all my life to be an expert in ergonomics and analyse the deep causes of working accidents, suicides at work and transmit my knowledge to my young collegues. Now i am retired, but patient hard worker to study the acoustic of woodwind instrument and especially the bagpipe in order to make a bagpipe easy to make , easy to play at home for training , something like smallpipes/hummelchen but with the fingerings of the 16 p bagpipe. i have made membrane pipes that sound fairly well but i have not completly solved the problem of High Cycle Fatigue of the membrane. i do not intend to play the GHB , for there is no opportunity to play it in our association, But the GHB and the 16 p bagpipe have almost the same fingerings, and i am very interested to learn from GHB pipers...For my own training i use a modified practice with 2 thumb holes.
