Dear Valued Dojo U Members,

Over the last decade, Dojo University has developed from a fledgling operation into the world’s largest, longest-running, and most successful online piping school. 

During that time, we have continuously added value for our students, which now culminates in:

• 20+ weekly live classes, plus guest lectures and more than 1000 hours of recorded classes and workshops to review
• 50+ courses in an extensive catalog- that cover almost every piping-related topic imaginable
• ever-changing content and repertoire, creating an enormous library of tunes, articles and resources 
• a hundreds-strong community of pipers around the world
• a growing faculty of more than a dozen piping and drumming specialists from six countries. 

In the last ten years, we’ve never raised our monthly fees for membership. However, with a dollar that has inflated significantly over the past decade, it’s time for us to modestly raise our fees to ensure we can continue to provide you with exceptional service and excellent support. 

Our strong intent is that even with a slight increase, you will continue to receive an entire month of piping content for less than the price of a single (high-quality) piping lesson. As you’ll see below, existing students will also receive a discount compared to new members, as recognition of your ongoing support.

To minimize the effect of this price increase for existing members, it will be staggered as follows:

Current (standard) fees (as at January 2022):

• Premium membership: $30/month
• Basic membership: $15/month

From March 1st, 2022:

• Existing Premium members: $35/month
• New Premium members: $45/month
• Existing Basic members: $20/month
• New Basic members: $30/month

From January 1st, 2023:

• Existing Premium members: $40/month
• New Premium members: $45/month
• Existing Basic members: $25/month
• New Basic members: $30/month

Changes to your billing will be made automatically from the dates shown above.

Price Change Details

Special Plans:

Many of you are on “special” or “unique” pricing plans as the result of different promotions we have run recently. Here are some details that may apply to you:

• Those on a free trial: If your next billing date is before March 1st, you will have one last billing at current pricing. If your next billing date is after March 1st, the charge will be $35 (as per the "timeline" above).
• Those who purchased a half or full year at an introductory price: Nothing changes for you other than, on your next bill date, you will be billed in accordance with the “timeline” above.
• Those with an introductory monthly rate: Your introductory rate will not change. When your plan switches back to the “standard” rate, you will be billed in accordance with the “timeline” above.
• Those currently on a quarterly rate: 
  • As of March 1: Basic Members will pay $45 per quarter, Premium will pay $90 per quarter.
  • As of Jan 1 2023: Basic Members will pay $60 per quarter, Premium will pay $110 per quarter.
  • New Quarterly Members: Basic Members will pay $75 per quarter, Premium will pay $120 per quarter.
